SEASON 1 PICTURES ARE IN!!!

Team pictures from Season 1 are in. If you participated in a Season 1 sport (Football, Cross Country, Swimming, Boys Tennis, Girls Golf) and purchased pictures they will be available for pick up in the main gym on the following dates and times: Tues 5/18 2:30-4pm, Wed, 5/19 2-4pm, and Thurs 5/20 2-3:30pm.

MVAL/FUSD/WHS Season 2 Sports Update April 1, 2021

Good afternoon,

Season 2 sports will officially start on April 19. We will collect paperwork right outside the entrance to the main gym on April 13, 14, 15 from 2-4pm. Here is the link to required paperwork:

College Recruitment Information

Fremont Unified School District is proud to announce that we will host NFL veteran Julian Jenkins from Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) for his presentation: “College Recruiting Simplified.” The event is on Monday, October 2nd at 6:30pm in the Valhalla Theater at Irvington High School. The seminar is free to all students and their families. Click here for flyer

Jenkins will guide parents and student-athletes through the importance of establishing athletic and academic goals, setting realistic expectations and seeking opportunities at all college and division levels.

Topics covered include:

  • The benefits of playing college sports
  • Reading college coach communications between the lines
  • When the recruiting process starts
  • How to get discovered
  • How coaches evaluate prospects
  • How to set realistic expectations
  • High school and club coaches’ roles

Guy Emanuele Sports Fund

The Guy Emanuele Sports Fund provides grants/scholarships to FUSD high school students who wish to participate in after-school sports but need help to offset some of the costs required for equipment and uniforms.  A student may receive more than one GESF grant if he/she is participating different sports seasonally.  Applications for Fall sports is September 30th.  Visit the Fremont Education Foundation website and click on the Guy Emanuele Sports Fund page for more scholarship information.
