Athletics - Overview

2022-2023 Summer Open Field and Gym

Hello Huskies! Summer open fields and gyms are starting up now that school is out. Below is a list of sports offering summer open fields or gym time. IF a sport is NOT listed than currently it is not offering summer workouts. All are welcome to participate.

Football: Beginning 6/20 - Mon-Thurs, Weight Room 3-4p & Conditioning 4-6p.

Girls Tennis: Beginning 7/5 through 8/4, Mon-Thurs, 10a-12p @ WHS Tennis Courts.

Girls Volleyball: Beginning 6/14, Tues & Thurs 8a-10a @ WHS Main Gym (will also be utilizing the Weight Room). No experience is necessary.

Boys Basketball: Mondays & Wednesdays, weight room from 5:30-6:30p, 6:30-8:30p @ WHS Main Gym.

Girls Basketball:  Tues & Thurs 5-7p & Sat 8a-10a in the WHS Main Gym

Badminton: Wednesdays 3-6pm, Fridays & Saturdays 4-7p @ WHS Main Gym

Baseball: Beginning 6/9/22 - Tues & Thurs 4-6p @ WHS Baseball Field

Boys Lacrosse: Beginning 6/14 - Tues & Thurs 6-7p WHS Weight Room

Girls Lacrosse: Wednesday, June 22 - 10:00-12:00; Tuesday, June 28 - 1:00 - 3:00; Thursday, June 30 - 10:00 - 12:00; Tuesday, July 26 - 1:00 - 3:00; Tuesday, August 9 - 1:00 - 3:00; all dates meet at the back field adjacent to Tak.

Boys Tennis: Beginning 7/5 through 8/4, Mon-Thurs, 3-5p @ WHS Tennis Courts.

Boys Volleyball: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9p in the WHS Main Gym.

College Recruitment Information

Fremont Unified School District is proud to announce that we will host NFL veteran Julian Jenkins from Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) for his presentation: “College Recruiting Simplified.” The event is on Monday, October 2nd at 6:30pm in the Valhalla Theater at Irvington High School. The seminar is free to all students and their families. Click here for flyer

Jenkins will guide parents and student-athletes through the importance of establishing athletic and academic goals, setting realistic expectations and seeking opportunities at all college and division levels.
