collegeFinancial Aid Night for Parents

October 1st was the first day you can submit your financial aid (FAFSA) forms. Financial aid is first come, first served, so make sure you submit your application as soon as possible.

If you missed the first Financial Aid Night for Parents, there will be three more held on 10/13, 10/21 and 10/26 from 6:00PM-7:30PM (Virtual),   the same information will be shared each week, so there is   no need for families to sign up for more than one. I will pass along Ms. Cooper's presentation slides after all her presentations are done.

 Event Details:

"What You Need to Know About Financial Aid" for high school parents and students. Staff from Stanford's Financial Aid Office will discuss the financial aid application process to any college or university for current high school seniors and their parents. Juniors, sophomores and their parents are welcome as well. They will share tips about submitting the FAFSA and understanding the financial aid process.

Fremont Police Department Explorers Program
The Explorer Program is a fun and safe way for teenagers, 14-18, to learn more about the field of law enforcement and get community service hours.  Explorers donate between 5-20 volunteer hours each month by participating in a number of department activities including; ride-a-longs, traffic control, building tours and special events.  All new Explorers are required to attend a one-week Explorer Academy in southern California during their first year.

Learn about how to become a health care professional
Meet people with the same interests as you 
Meetings are held the Third Thursday of the Month at Washington Hospital; 6-8pm

ROP Announcements
Bus Passes:
All ROP students MUST have their WHS and ROP school ID cards at all times. No temporary ID's will be issued to ride the bus.  If a student does not have proper ID they will not be allowed on the bus for any reason.
ROP Transportation for Morning and Afternoon Classes: 
Busing to the ROP Center is now available for classes that are held first/second period at 7:00 am. Transportation back to Washington will be provided at the conclusion of the class. Transportation for PM classes will leave WHS at 12:45 pm and return at the conclusion of class.
