Are you READY for college?

College Readiness

Up to 1/2 of the entering freshmen in the California State University (CSU) system require additional preparation in math and English. In an effort to help students better prepare for college level coursework, the CSU and the California Department of Education developed a Student Success program that includes the Early Start Program (ESP) for select students. Juniors are given a test when taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) in the spring and the test includes math and English questions, as well as a writing sample.
